Gitzo’s recently launched its new camera product called Athena. The Gitzo’s Athena is a fully electronic and remote-controlled head camera. It is one of the most attractive gadgets on CP+ 2010 on imaging exibition in Yokohama last week.
The Gitzo’s Athena can be controlled from a distance which means that you can take pictures anywhere you are. This Athena GH5130RC is mostly beneficial for nature photographers who find difficulty in catching objects in difficult situation. Simply put the camera in a place that might be inaccessible for human and control it from a distance to catch the objects. Moreover, the movement is ultra quiet and won’t distract the subjects. The Athena can also be used to catch object in hard-to-reach areas including on the top of basketball backboard. The user can easily control the position of the camera from a nearby computer.
The Gitzo’s Athena can also point in any direction to give the users full control of the camera. It can be set to vertical and horizontal direction as well as roll over on a swivel. The user can also find live viewing options and can input the camera positions. This product is not yet launched on the market. It seems that Gitzo should give more information about the Athena on the website anytime soon.
