Some of you might have seen robot in many movies like Robocop and Star Wars. The robots in those movies are just like human beings that can do things and decide something at their own. In 50 years from now, we might have robots like that but in current technology, robot can only do things based on the preinstalled program.
According to Wikipedia, robot is an automatically guided machine that can do tasks by its own. Although there is still no consensus among experts of what is the exact definition of robot, there are some characteristics which a robot should has at least one of them. The characteristics are, moving around, able to operate a mechanical limb, can exhibit intelligent behavior and able to sense and manipulate the environment.
The application of robot itself is so varies. We can find robot in almost everywhere. Although the usage of robot for private use is rare but the usage of robot like in the car production has widely applied. Robot can also used to do dangerous tasks like tasks related to radioactive. Nowadays robot can also owned for private use, like robot to do simple but time consuming tasks like sweeping the floor, lawn mowing and vacuum cleaning.
