This Blu-ray is the newest technology that is able to write on CD with better quality and amazing file size. the head of Blu-ray Association has announced this improvement. They announced that the Blu-ray disc has two new formats. The formats are BDXL and also IHBD. These two formats enable larger data capacity.
However, since those two formats are absolutely new, people will need to buy new type of Blu-ray player or recorder to use the 128GB disc. The IHBD format contains two layers with 25GB capacity each. This IHBD format is for viewi9ng data and not for overwriting data. It means it can only be written once. The BDXL format allows 128GB data on each disc and it is intended for commercial usage. This is truly big data storage these days.
This format will be released for public use in the near future to give the Blu-ray player manufacturer to adopt the technology in their products so that the consumers can use the technology right after the disc is released to the market.
