iPad 3G is a new version of iPad on the market. This new product has just launched in the United States. The iPad 3G looks just the same as the Wi-Fi-only version but it is equipped a cell chip to receive data over AT&T 3G network so that you can still get connected to the internet when there’s no WiFi network available.
Although the iPad 3G has similar functions but you won’t get exactly the same features as the regular iPad. The reports said that the iPad 3D doesn’t equipped with the most popular iPad apps which is the ones that stream video. The YouTube app scales lower resolution than the cellular data connection. Moreover, the ABC player doesn’t want to work unless you are connected to a WiFi network. Somehow, the iTunes Store streaming video previews are on normal performance with full resolution.
Being asked about the restriction, the AT&T answers that it’s something that need to be asked to Apple. It is still a question whether Apple is the one restricts the app or Apple is the only one who can give comments on the issue. It can also caused by the size of the file being streamed. Video is often scaled down in a weak network signal. However, we don’t know the right reason before the companies comment on the matter.
