The world has already suffered from the lack of energy. Oil which is commonly known as the foremost source of energy has already decreased its amount. And, unfortunately, oil cannot be renewed. It means once it runs out, there is no way to reproduce it. This is not good for people since they depend a lot on oil to empower their machines and engines.
Thus, people need other sources of energy as alternative for oil. Some researchers have begun their research by using the power of the sun to empower the machines. The result can be seen at this year Inhabitat Week in Madrid, Spain. This competition is followed by 17 teams from all over the world. This year theme is solar-powered house which means contenders must bring their most efficient sun-powered house to compete on the competition. University of Nottingham is ready with its hyper efficient H.O.U.S.E and Florid is ready with its Re:Focus prefab.
The implementation of solar energy in real life can be seen in Kibera, Nairobe, where people are watching the broadcast of World Cup through their photovoltaic television set. And, as the pioneer of solar technology production is Sony which claims to launch the most efficient solar module for the world.
