Greater Degree of Safety with Webooti Computer for Your Kids

It must be recognized that a number of advances in computer technology has benefitted adults in most of their activities. But what the children needs is often neglected. The existing computers and laptops are not recommended to use by children due to their vulnerability. This week, computer hardware specially designed for children are being discussed by enthusiasts. This is specially targeted for parents who do not pay frequent attention to their children while using the computer.

Savvy parents will certainly not miss Webooti, an ultra-simple PC equipped with 128 MB RAM, and 8 GB hard disk with a higher degree of safety. With its ‘bold’ body and insensitive features, significantly lesser harms can be expected.  It comes with an original and convivial design with various options of colors that fit you kid’s taste. Its shock-proof and compact design is not bestowed with sharp angles, screw, and connecters, no visible cables and no external mouse.

Protected keyboard and screen will provide the ultimate safety for your children. However, one of the limitations of the Webooti is that it is still supported by Pentium IV processor. Thus it is rumored to have less speed when the users access internet connection through Wi-Fi or 3G IP connection it is built with. However, it is noted to be an environmentally friendly computer for it requires lower energy consumption.

Ferroelectric Devices: An Alternative to Flash Storage Devices

Computer enthusiasts must be familiar with flash storage that has gained its popularity now. But, a new storage material is rumored to replace the flash storage. With a storage density up to 4 trillion bits per square inch, ferroelectric devices are going to boost the hardware market. The device contains ferroelectric films and semiconductor integrated circuit chips. It combines the unique nonvolatile memory and dielectric properties with the dynamic memory.

The ferroelectric device is predicted to be a lower cost alternative and smaller size storage device. The device was reported to be invented by scientists at Tohoku University in Japan. This enhances the Japan’s image as the world’s main source of technological innovations. The storage density is noted to be eight times of most commercially available hard-disk drives.

The inventors are aware that many mechanical improvements need to be made before it is formally launched to market. One main problem associated with the data storage device is that when data are being written, there are several consecutive marks need to be written next to each other; thus, making the storage process less efficient. In addition, it is certain that the existing data storage devices are continuously developed, some worry that when the ferroelectric devices are really launched, it will have lagged behind the existing ones.
