Movie lovers slash Personal Computer users can now play their favorite movies in their PC with relief. In the older times, a PC turns home theater or HTPC (Home Theater Personal Computer) cannot display great images due to the limitation of supporting software. Now the problem is over with the introducing of NVIDIA 3DTV Play.
The NVIDIA Company is known to have providing 3D image to PCs for quite a long time. However, the NVIDIA 3DTV Play works differently from the NVIDIA 3D cards for Personal Computers. The NVIDIA 3D is a part of the PC with an HDMI 1.4 port, while the NVIDIA 3DTV Play provides the service for the image to be recognized on the HTPC. In other words, if the NVIDIA 3D are the hardware installed in the PC, then the NVIDIA 3DTV Play is the software.
For PC users who already have the NVIDIA 3D Vision graphic card, the NVIDIA 3DTV Play can be attained for free. As for PC users with other type of NVIDIA cards, each has to pay $40 to have the NVIDIA 3DTV Play. Ironically, the NVIDIA 3DTV Play is not compatible with the NVIDIA 3D Vision since both works on different platforms.
