StreamTV probably is a newcomer in technology and gadget industry. But the company is not afraid of making the breakthrough. The manufacturer invited team from Engadget.com to have a preview on a prototype of Elocity A7 tablet. Here are the results of the test.

When it comes to display, the 7 inch touchscreen gave responsive resolution of 80 x 480 pixels. The tablet is also equipped with a camera at the front end with the resolution of 1.3 pixels. The camera can be used for making video calls although its 3G connection is not the best streaming agent nowadays. Sockets available at the tablet among others are the USB and HDMI connectivity. The HDMI port is what makes the tablet can be connected to the HDTV. Engadget.com team found the combination of StreamTV Elocity A7 with a 22 inch HDTV can produce a fine quality video of 1,080 pixels. Meanwhile, when the Asphalt 5 racing game was played on the tablet, there was some delay with the images.

The prototype previewed by the Engadget.com team was using the Android 2.1 operating system. However, the CEO from StreamTV announced the Elocity A7 will be packed with the Android 2.2. Other features to be added to the future Elocity A7 are GetJar applications, a wireless keyboard, and an HDMI cable. The Elocity A7 is planned to be available on Amazon in October 2010 with the pricing for $ 399.
