Recently, Yahoo has launched a news portal called the Upshot; this is a portal that uses search data to select certain news that readers want to get. Today, Yahoo presents a new feature called “Infinite Browse” to suggest users specific terms related to the news.

The feature is created to help readers access a content that is related to the news without moving to different search portal. They only need to click the portal and the specific term will be presented by Yahoo. For example, when Yahoo presents news about Al Qaida, readers will get links to search for “Al Qaida Camp” or “Al Qaida Flags”. The feature is now being tested to some users and the result shows that it gets warm welcome from them. Another existing feature that Yahoo also upgrades is the “Trending Now” list. Now, when readers click Trending Topic, they will not only get the trending topics but also get search results on Yahoo related to the topic. Yahoo also offers newsworthy topics according to the Yahoo portal type that the readers visit.

The new features are created by Yahoo to increase search query volume. Such strategy is also employed by this company when they upgrade the slideshows and other contents.
