For products to be released in 2011 trimester, Canon XF105 and XF 100 camcorderds are quite well-promoted. Canon USA announced the specifications of the product yesterday, August 31, 2010 from the Lake Success, New York. Both Canon XF105 and XF 100 are promoted to be small but functional camcorders. The two camcorders are said to have the same codec features with older Canon XF generations, the XF305 and XF300 which were launched January 2010.
The codec used by the Canon XF305 and XF300, the 50Mbps codec of MPEG-2 4:2:2 will also be installed in both Canon XF105 and XF 100. With HD result produced from both unreleased camcorders, the camcorders are said to be excellent for doing documentary, news reporting, independent film shooting, and event documentary. Besides the codec, both products will be equipped with Infrared Shooting Option and 3 Dimensional built-in technologies.
The Canon XF105 and XF100 are camcorders with Genuine Canon lens with 10x HD Zoom Option. The camcorders use CMOS sensors of Full HD 1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution. Although the two products will not be produced en masse until next year, Canon will exhibit the Canon XF105 and XF100 at New York’s Canon 2010 Expo to give some previews of the products.
