Latest update from Imation Corp. transfers the news about the launching of its recent removable hard drive products, the Apollo Expert D300 External Hard Drive, the Apollo Expert D200 External Hard Drive, the Apollo Expert M200 Portable Hard Drive, and the Apollo M100 Portable Hard Drive. All Imation’s external/portable hard drives from Apollo family have denoted functions suitable for private or professional use.
The leader of the four Imation new Apollo products is indeed the Apollo Expert D300. The Apollo Expert D300 is available for professional use with storage capacity choices of 500 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB. Unlike other types of Imation Apollo, the Apollo Expert D300 uses the new technology of USB 3.0. The USB 3.0 allows the Apollo Expert D300 to transfer data 10 times faster than usual USB 2.0. The Apollo Expert D300 is also backward compatible with USB 2.0 ports. The Apollo Expert D200 however, still uses the USB 2.0 technology. Nevertheless the removable hard drive is available in 500 GB – 2 TB therefore also suitable for professional users.
The Apollo Expert M200 and the Apollo M100 are specialized for home use with chosen storage capacities of 320 GB, 500 GB, and 640 GB. The Apollo Expert M200 and the Apollo M100 will be soon available at the market wile the Apollo Expert D300 and the Apollo Expert D200 will be launched October this year.
