South Korean Ocosmos Surprises with OCS-9 Tablet Prototype

Ocosmos is probably well known in South Korea, but not to the world. Well, at least not until the Intel Developer Forum (IDF) 2010 is held in San Francisco. During the IDF 2010, Ocosmos introduced the new concept on a tablet PC the Ocosmos OCS-9. The Ocosmos OCS-9 presented at the IDF 2010 was indeed still the prototype of the product. Nevertheless the prototype showed tablet features which are far above the ordinary.

As the starter, the Ocosmos OCS-9 promotes to equip the device with latest Oak Trail processor from Intel. The Oak Trail itself is the processor especially designed for tablet PCs and reported not to be released until early 2011. The Ocosmos OCS-9 also uses a 9 inch touchscreen with 1,024 x 768 pixels of resolutions. As adding values, Ocosmos OCS-9 will come with a QWERTY keypad and a stylus; both are removable. Ocosmos OCS-9 is planned to be platformed by Windows 7 Operating System.

The Ocosmos OCS-9 prototype is also packed with 3 Megapixels camera. Meanwhile, there are no further details about the battery or the performance of the Ocosmos OCS-9. The real Ocosmos OCS-9 will not be released until the second quarter of 2011. When the product finally release, prepare $500 for getting the device.
