ASUS Leaks Armdroid and Wintel That Are Set To Launch Soon

Asus stated that it plans to hit the markets with two simultaneous series of tablets, Armdroid and Wintel. The rumor on the plans had been leaked and even revealed. But yesterday, the company president confirmed the news, it is not a rumor anymore. Before the end of the year, exactly in December, ASUS will launch the form factors for the tablets. They will be available in 7-, 9-, 10-, and 12-inch display.

The 12-inch model is specially built in collaboration with Microsoft. Therefore, it will run Windows with one of the Intel series. It will be available in the market at the beginning of January. The participation of Microsoft has also resulted in some improvement in the technological support for the 12-inch model. The improvement is marked on the touch control and user interface.  No further leaks are available on the 12-incher model.

Little information is also leaked on the 7-incher, 9-incher, and the 10-incher. But they are reportedly set to be launched in March next year. The 7-incher will be launched in a pair, one with the Wi-Fi support and the other with 3.5 G and phone functions. The 7-incher will run android. Android will also be found in the next two series. The 9-incher pairs will be available in Android and Wintel table. In about the same time, the 10-inch tablets will also hit the stores. In total, before March 2011, there will be five or six new tablets from ASUS.

LaCie Enhances the Speed and the Storage Capacity of d2 USB 3.0 and 2big USB 3.0

Amid the increasing demand for higher storage capacity, LaCie speeds up and increases its USB external storage d2 USB 3.0 and 2big USB 3.0 to accommodate more terabytes. Both are upgraded for the customers who are looking for more storage and faster speed. LaCie promises marked improvement in the performance of the external devices. The 2big USB 3.0 has been enhanced to a speed of 306MB/sec – at least 20 percents speedier than the previous models.

With enhanced speed, the 2big USB 3.0 is boosted to be the fastest 2-bay RAID solution available on the market. It is also expanded with 6TB model. On the other hand, the d2 USB 3.0 will be available with a speed of 156MB/sec with the inclusion of a 3TB hard drive. The twenty percent speed increase is worthy considering. The support USB 3.0 I/O connector will contribute much to the widespread usage of the devices, even though some reviewers deem that the USB 3.0 is a backward.

Unfortunately, if your PC has a USB 2.0 connector you will not benefit from the 3.0 faster speeds. The LaCie external USB hard drives will be built in an aluminum casing, which remains an attractive ornament for computer users. Both of the devices will be available next month, but no information is available on the pricing. The good news is they will be available worldwide.

Adobe’s HTML5 Video Player Widget as the Flash Solution for HTML5 Users

Today, MSI unveils its upcoming 15.6-inc GE603 laptop which is rumored to house GeForce GT 425M. MSI promises greater performance with the support of Intel Core i5 CPU processor. It was yesterday that Microsoft announced its rebooted Games for Windows Marketplace. The Microsoft Games for Windows will be re-launched on November 15th this year. One of the most important features of the Windows Games is that it offers online web access from anywhere. With Games for Windows Marketplace, the users can easily search the games by title, genre, or publisher. FluffyApp, a Counterpart for CloudApp, Was Introduced by Windows

After Mac released Mac-only CloudApp few weeks ago, a counterpart came from Windows. It is assumed that the Windows FluffyApp is expected to be a solution for Windows users since the Mac counterpart can only be utilized by Mac users. FluffyApp also works with drag and drop file, URL, and screenshot sharing. The FluffyApp is available free of charge. The enthusiasts can get it only with a simple subscription.

FluffyApp is designed specifically to help the users upload pictures and other files to CloudApp. It works by providing an icon in the system onto which the users can drag and drop the files and the pictures. The uploading and sharing process is facilitated with a shortened URL. Then, the shortened URL is automatically copied to the clipboard and ready to paste into an email or instant message.

Furthermore, FluffyApp also records the recent uploads. This helps the users to retrieve one of the recent actions. The recent actions are easily accessible in the menu. Now, the praise enjoyed by the Mac users is also enjoyed by the Windows users. There are actually two limitations that had been found so far.  FluffyApp causes minor changes in the texts, and it lacks of support for CloudApp’s plug-in even though is not deemed a big deal.
