33% Battery Runtime Will Be Reduced If You Installed Flash On Your MacBook

According to Ars Technica, which has done a test for battery life, installing flash to your coputer can reduce the battery runtime in your laptopby a third. The battery test was run by Ars Technica on the 11-inch MacBook Air. The Macbook Air only got 4 hours of battery life if the flash layer plug in is installed in the laptop. Once the Ars Technica deleted the Flash, the battery life is increasing to 6 hours.

From the test result, the Ars Technica speculates that this could be the one of the reasons why Apple doesn’t use Flash in their MacBook Airs. The Ars technica doesn’t say  simply that by installing the flash plug in on MacBook Air reduces the baterry time. The Ars technica get that conclusion after several test and attemps. At the end, Ars found that Flash based ads kept the CPU to work harder than seemed necessary.

The Ars Technica only tested the effect of flash t othe battery runtime of the laptop on a MacBook Air. But it is logical f many peple assume that other MacBooks and PC laptop will have similar battery runtime with the MacBook Air. So, for those who have MacBook and want to make their laptop battery becomes longer, it is good to try unsitalling the Flash application from the laptop.
