Intel Announced 120 GB X25-M SSD and Lowered the Existing 80GB and 160 X25-M SSD


Despite controversies over the price of solid-state drives, Intel is never hopeless. It believes that those who need quick and quiet storage device, SSDs are the answer. Few days ago, Intel announced that it would release X25-M SSD with a capacity of up to 120 GB.  At the same time, to answer the customers’ concern, Intel lowers the prices of the previous 80GB and 160 GB X25-M solid-state drives. Now, Intel 80 GB X-25 SSD is set for only $199 while the 160 series is available for $415.

If you feel that the 80 GB is too tiny while the 160 series is two enormous, you may need a middle road. The 120 GB X25-M SSD comes as a middle-way alternative for $249. The new pricing scheme is targeted for holiday shoppers, and the addition of the 120 series is aimed at providing the customers with more options for their PCs. With greater affordability, Intel expects that it reach more customers. It also promises low-power performance boost of up to 56 percent.
