The new MacBook Airs are almost similar with the previous generation. But the previous generations feel less solid than the new MacBook Air. The new MacBook Airs have been trimmed down here and there. The actual measurements for the 13.3 inch model are 12.8 inches by 8.9 inches. And the weight for this type is 2.9 pounds. For the 11.6 inch version, measures just 11.8 inches by 7.56 inches. The weight for this type is only 2.3 pounds. The small MacBook Air is really small and light. It is very portable.
An ambient light sensor and a backlit keyboard are the things that are missing from the new Airs. An ambient light sensor might not be a big problem. But the missing of the backlit keyboard can make a little problem. Without a cbacklit keyboard, typing in dark setting and even in a low light can become a problem because the user of this laptop has almost no sense of which key is which. The guide on the keyboard becomes less because of the missing of a backlit keyboard.
Generally, there isn’t a lot of change for hardware in the MacBook Air type from the previous generation. The large glass track pad and the keyboard are almost identical with the regular MBP.
