ASUS unveils its upcoming ultraportable U36 laptop. Even though ASUS does not completely unveil the specs, the reviewers get some important parts of it. With a weight of a little bit over 3 pounds, the laptop hosts Core 13 or Core 15 processors. There will be IGB of memory, 2GB of system RAM, and a 500GB 7200RPM hard disk. ASUS promises 10 hours of battery life by using 4-cell battery.
ASUS ultraportable U36 laptop is also equipped with HDMI output, one USB 3.0 port, dual-heat pipe cooler, and NVIDIA GeForce 310M graphics, which automatically adjusts the graphics to the performance needs. It runs Windows 7 Home Premium as its operating system. However, the exact screen size remains a mystery, even though some speculate that the laptop will be a 13.3 incher with LED-backlit. All of the specs will be wrapped by a .75-inch magnesium shell. It will be available in black and silver.
ASUS reportedly offers a price of about $1.375. For some, it is questionable whether the price pays the specs. It may be a bit overpriced unless ASUS presents some spectacular breakthroughs when the laptop is officially released. However, some local retailers will offer discounts. Up until now, no information is available on the real price, the exact release date, and market that will be hit first by the laptop.
