The overcrowded tablet industry does not discourage BenQ to launch its Android Tablet. It will make advantage of CES 2011 event to introduce the device. BenQ calls its upcoming Android-based tablet BenQ R100 Android tablet. It is built with a 10.1-inch touch-screen, projecting 1024 x 600. The tablet will use ARM CPU built by Samsung and Android 2.2. It is able to run at 833MHz. BenQ seemingly plans to make a striking difference in the battery life. The battery will run for 12 hours. It must be amazing!
The facilitate the navigation, the R100 Android tablet can be facilitated by a stylus pen, which can be used for note-taking, even though no detail is available on whether a stylus pen will be included in the pack. The customers will be provided with an 8GB of internal storage (which can be expanded to 16 GB using SD card), an SD slot, mini-USB port, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a mini-HDMI socket. Of course, radio and Bluetooth module are compulsory features.
So far, BenQ has not leaked any information on pricing. Nor exact image is available on internet. BenQ keeps it mysterious until the official launching. Therefore, if some websites put an image of R100 Android tablet, it must be a speculated image. It will be available first in China and Taiwan in the first quarter of 2011.
