At the CES event at the beginning of January, MSI is planning to reintroduce its MSI Windpad Tablets. The readers perhaps still remember when MSI launched two simultaneous Winpad Tablets several weeks a go. One model is Windows 7/Atom Slate tablet and the other is Android/ARM model. Reintroduction will be featured with some improvements in the tablets. Therefore, they are called New Generation of Winpad Tablets.
The two tablets begin with the Windows 7 tablet that is built with a 10.1-inch display. It is one of the first tablets to be powered by Intel Atom Oak Trail. Improvements in the tablet are prevalent in the battery life and performance improvement. The thick of the tablet is less than an inch with a 1024 x 600-resolution. You will find a multi-touch display, mini-HDMI, USB port, SD card slot, and an accelerometer. The new version of Windows 7 tablet will be available in the early 2011.
Improvements in the second model, Android-based model, are also visible in the design. The tablet is thinner than the previous versions. It is also built with drop-proof feature. It runs Google Android 2.3 or Android 3.0, depending on the available operating system when the tablet launched in February or March next year. Furthermore, both models of Winpad tablet are built with gravity sensors, ambient light sensors, and Wi-Fi.
