ASUS Eee Pad Slider and Transformer: How You Differentiate Them

What comes into your mind when you are asked about the word transformer? It certainly refers to something or someone that can automatically change something into another one. This is possibly the premise behind ASUS Eee Pad Transformer. Or, could you imagine using a tablet without any keyboard in a physical sense? Again, ASUS would like to show how to do it through ASUS Eee Pad Slider.

ASUS announced two revolutionary tablets at CES 2011. They are ASUS Eee Pad Slider and Transformer. Both netbooks have some similarities in common. Both are powered with NVIDIA Tegra-2 processor and equipped with 10.1-inch display projecting 1280 x 800 of resolution. The difference is the Eee Pad Slider hosts a slide out keyboard, while the Transformer model does not. ASUS is not yet sure on the operating system to load into the tablet, but it is seemingly interested in Android 3.0 or Honeycomb from Google.

Other similarity in the specs of both tablet include mini-HDMI slots, Mini-USB slots, MicroSC card slot, touchpad, 512/1GB memory options, and 16GB/32GB of storage options. Both netbooks allow the users to communicate and take pictures with the support of two cameras in each netbook. Eee Pad Slide version has an integrated battery that lasts up to 16 hours. The Transformer will costs $400 to $700, meanwhile the Slider costs $500 to $800.
