MSI WinPad 100W and 100A Tablets Offering Two Different Platforms

The story of innovation presented at CES will continuously give different color to he gadget news for the coming several days. To bolster its commitment to participate in the tablet war, MSI released two tablets at CES, i.e. MSI WInPad 100W and 100A tablets. Both tablets are equipped with multi-touch 10-inch slates. However, MSI does not seemingly want to provide the customers with two identical options. Each of the tablets is built with distinctive features.

WinPad 100W model runs Windows 7 Home Premium while the 100A model runs Android platform. The WinPad 100 model is built with greater support for connectivity. It has USB ports and HDMI slots that enable the devices to get connected to other devices. The expanded connectivity has been through with complete arrays of testing. Weighting 1.76 pounds, the tablet comes with multi-touch screen support. It is also powered with 32Gb of hard drive and Intel Mellow Z530 processor.

On the other hand, WinPad 100A runs Android. Powered ARM processor, the tablet is equipped with a GPS locator, Wi-Fi, digital compass, and optional 3G. No information on the kind of battery used for both tablets, but the WinPad 100A reportedly has a battery that could last up to eight hours. The 100W model will be available before the end of the first quarter of 2011 with pricing starting from $499, even though no information is available on the 100A’s price.
