The competition between Windows and Google has given rise to an innovation in computer industry. Triple-boot and dual-boot devices begin to gain their momentum. Few days ago, Acer introduces the first dual-boot netbook, booting Windows and Android in a single device. The dual-boot Acer Aspire One E100 is not far different from Acer Aspire D255 in terms of specs. It is different in that it is targeted on educational purpose by adding some education-minded features.

Acer Aspire One E100 netbook is designed for the convenience of dynamic student using a special rubber coating to make sure that it is safe when transported in a backpack. The netbook is also pre-installed with some educational software that makes it more attractive to school students, even though Acer did not specify the name of the software and how it works. It comes with a 10.1-inch display, 1GB of RAM, 250GB of hard drive, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth, multi-card reader, and a webcam.

However, Acer still keeps some specs of the netbook mysterious. It told that the netbook is powered by an Atom processor (without referring to specific name). Acer also promises eight hours of battery life. Again, no detail is available on then type of the battery. Dual-boot features provide the users with flexibility in using preferred operating system. Perhaps, it will be more interesting if Acer adds Mac OS X into it. Do you think so?
