ASUS makes ASUS Eee PC 1015B and 1215B official today. The 1015B version seemingly hosts AMD Fusion chip. The tablet is expected to provide 1080p output that facilitates in video streaming and media content transfer. The APU choices are two-fold: 1.2GHz single core and 1Ghz dual-core. Both version of Asus Eee PC1015 will host ATI Radeon HD 6250 graphics. Both versions also have some similarities in common, including 1GB of RAM, which can be expanded to 2GB.
You may consider ASUS Eee PC 1015B a middle-range device. For those who put more emphasis on performance, ASUS also offers Eee PC 1215B. Actually, it has many similarities in terms of specs with those of 1015B version. It is a refurbished version of ASUS Eee1215. One of the distinguishing features of the 1215B is that it is built with a 12.1-inch LCD screen. There is also optional 1.6 GHz AMD E350 dual-core processor in addition of the two APU options offered for 1015B version. ASUS 1215B version hosts 1 GB of RAM, but the RAM memory can be expanded to 4GB.
According the leaked information, the PCs will be available in black and white renditions. No detailed information is available on the release date and pricing. However, some observers do not put much optimism that both PCs will provide a different computing and browsing experience, even though ASUS has successfully integrates AMD Fusion into them.
