Samsung LCD transparent display is gathering its momentum. It is efficient to support information sharing and communication within in industrial setting. As a response to the increasing demand for the LCD transparent display, few days ago, Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd announced from Seoul that is was going to mass-produce the display. The transparent LCD has a 22-inch panel. Samsung is the first to mass-produce such a device.

In addition, Samsung is setting some measures to develop the transparent LCD market by formulating and developing some applications to support the display. Now the question is what differentiates the transparent LCD panel from back light unit (BLU) display. Samsung transparent LCD display has more than 20% transparency compared to 5% for the conventional BLU display. It also excels by 15% in terms of color type. With such a transparency rate, the customers can look right through some panels including glass panels.

More importantly, transparent display consumes significantly less electric power, i.e. 90% lower. The energy efficient feature is the result of ambient light used by the devices. Ambient lights such as sun light minimize the need for electric power. The transparent LCD display provides great support for High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) and the Universal Serial Bus (USB) interface. The displays will be available in two color options: black and white type and color type.
