Intel proves that it is unbeatable by keeping the innovations and launching record-breaking devices. Intel is currently targeting the IT managers or IT department staff by introducing Intel Xeon processor E7 family. The processor family is aimed for better data management and supporting data-intensive environments. Reliability and new security standards are among the new features introduced in the new processor family. It supports IT managers with critical-deadline missions.
Intel Xeon processor E7-8800/4800/2800 family supports high-end computing applications, which are used in business intelligence, data analysis, and data visualization. More powerful data center and new processor will keep the data in integrated form. It is based on 31-nm process technology. The Xeon processor combines Hyper-Threading Technology that is known for faster performance by 40 percent compared to the previous versions. Another advantage of the new processor technology is lower power consumption. It automatically adjusts the power consumption when the processor in idle status.
The new Intel Xeon processor E7 consists of 18 new processors. They are built with 2, 4, and eight-socket servers. It means that a single Xeon processor can replace up to 18-dual core servers. Imagine the efficiency it provides! Storage capacity is outstanding, i.e., 2 Terabyte of memory. In terms of new security standard, Intel combines Trusted Execution Technology (Intel TXT) that has extraordinary performance in defending the system against malicious threats.
