Customize Your Blackberry Torch 9800 with ColorWare

Blackberry strikes again! Not quite offering new technology, actually. This time Blackberry brings more fun for its consumers. Cooperating with ColorWare, RIM, the manufacturer for Blackberry mobile devices recently re-launched the Blackberry Torch 9800 smartphone. With ColorWare, customers can customize their chosen color for their new Blackberry Torch. After the order is made, ColorWare will do the color for the smartphone.

The Torch 9800 is in fact not the latest product ever launched by Blackberry. The Blackberry Torch 9800 has been circulating in the market since early August of this year. The first generation of Blackberry Torch 9800 came with the combination of colors red, black, and white. This smartphone uses the touch screen technology towards the 3.2 inch display. Even so, the Blackberry Torch 9800 is also equipped with slide QWERTY keyboard for more comfortable usage.

The new version of Blackberry Torch 9800 has similar features with the old ones, except for the modified colors. The Blackberry Torch 9800 is platformed with the Blackberry 6 Operating System, Bluetooth 2.1 and WiFi connectivity, and 5 Mp camera. For bundling packet of Blackberry Torch 9800 and two years contract with cellular provider AT&T, RIM sells the regular Blackberry Torch 9800 with $200.

Vodafone MiFi R201 for Portable Connectivity

Cellular provider Vodafone is rapidly make innovations to deal with high demand of faster internet connectivity. Working together with Huawei, Vodafone has recently released portable internet connectivity the Vodafone MiFi R201. Before working together with Huawei, the Vodafone Company cooperated with Novatel to produce the model Vodafone MiFi 2352 which was circulated around Spain.

Like other Vodafone devices made by Huawei, the Vodafone MiFi R201 has typical design. The device is plasticky white with red band ornament surrounding the device. The Vodafone MiFi R201 is not too sturdy that it releases squeaky while squeezed at certain area. The noise is thought to be the result of the detachable back surface of the device.  The cover at the back surface is protecting the battery, SIM slot, as well as the microSD slot.

The Vodafone MiFi R201 is not equipped with complicated controlling buttons. The device is only packed with two buttons. The first button is used for starting the screen and activating the setup for protected WiFi connection. Other button, given with red light as the indicator is used for switching the device’s power. While activated, user can see the status of the device including the signal potency and the internet connectivity.

Samsung Galaxy Player 50 Participates at the IFA 2010

Preparing for the IFA 2010 held in Berlin from September 3 to September 8, 2010, all huge manufacturers are preparing their best products. Samsung also takes part in the euphoria. This month, Samsung released four portable media players to be exhibited on the IFA 2010. One of the portable players is called the Samsung Galaxy Player 50.

Samsung Galaxy Player 50 comes with SoundAlive, a technology which enable best quality of sounds. This technology is fully supported by top operating system the Android 2.1 or Éclair. The Drag and Drop option applied for this player with 3.2 inch display helps its user to utilize media player libraries with no difficulties. Since the player is also installed with the DivX codec, users can play audio or video contents without the necessity to convert them.

The Samsung Galaxy Player 50 is available with 8 Gb and 16 Gb capacities. To add bigger storage of the player, Samsung equipped the Galaxy Player 50 with an external microSD slot which can be upgraded to 32 Gb. not only that, this player also comes with a camera of 2 Mp at the back and not to mention a microphone jack. Not just a player, the Samsung Galaxy Player 50 is a multimedia player.

Huawei IDEOS, Reachable Smartphone in High Quality

Technology is a never-ending progress. While one manufacturer committed to have built a super gadget of the day, the next time another company confessed the record is already broken by its latest product. Smartphones as highly demanded products of this century also undergo rapid progress and improvement. Huawei Device, leading manufacturer of telecommunication peripherals is one among many who always make improvement especially for smartphones.

Smartphone series from Huawei comes under the name of IDEOS. Huawei will launch innumerable types of IDEOS which is intended for various target markets. IDEOS is claimed as the first financially reachable smartphone ever been produced. With the price from $100 to $200, customers from many economic levels are allowed to have the IDEOS series. Huawei IDEOS is idealized to be a qualified gadget with low price.

IDEOS is the combination between the terms ID, E, and OS. The word ID is meant as the representative for the “industrial design-centric hardware platform”. Meanwhile, E stands for the smartphone function as portable internet and OS signifies the operating system used by the smartphone. Fenned Alpha Version Received Complains from Users

The full version of alpha Fennec has been recently released to substitute the pre-alpha version. Fennec, known as the Firefox Mobile, is a browser application from Firefox which can be installed on the platforms Android version 2.0 and later as well as the Nokia N900 mobile phone. The release of the Fennec application is promoted to improve responses and performances while browsing the web.

The new alpha version of Fennec includes two new features namely the Electrolysis and Layers. The Electrolysis allows the browser to operate separately from web rendering process, while Layers are meant to increase the performance of actions connected with graphics such as zooming, scrolling, and displaying videos and animations. Like the PC version of Firefox, the Fennec can also be supported by add-ons and Firefox Sync.

However, users of the Fennec alpha version found the browser is less convenient. Many users found the application is a heavy one with the capacity of 30 MB. To make the matter worse, the Fennec is reported to be crashed while used for browsing. Fennec cannot be compatible with other application such as eBay. The synchronization for the browser is also considered too troublesome. Users have to enter a series of complicated characters to have the browser synchronized.

ViewSonic to Display Lots of New Gadgets at the Upcoming IFA

In the IFA event of 2010, ViewSonic will display its new products. The products, based on ViewSonic’s press release, will be variable from media players to cameras. In Hall 14 Stand 107 at the upcoming IFA 2010, ViewSonic will exhibit their new three-dimensional camera/recorder, portable 3D television, and a tablet PC of 7 inch wide.

The 3D camera/recorder or camcorder which will be sold with the price £199 is said to be a lightest one with 720 pixels resolution while recording. It will also come with a built-in three dimensional preview display. In the exhibition, ViewSonic will also make a demonstration to promote the easy-to-carry 3D television. The exhibit will also display other products such as three dimensional digital camera and digital photo frame which is also a three dimensional.

Meanwhile, the tablet PC announced to be exhibited is using the Android platform. It is equipped with web connectivity such as Wi-Fi and 3G. other features built in the gadget are GPS service, Bluetooth, G sensor, a MicroSD slot, and USB connector. Besides the 7 inch one, ViewSonic will also display a tablet of 10 inch wide which is platformed by Intel and installed with both Android and Microsoft operating systems.

Very Light Galaxy Tab P1000 from Samsung

Samsung is issued to manufacture a new product in China, the Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 or known as Samsung GT-P1000. This gadget uses the Android 2.2 platform. Following the previous series of Samsung Galaxy S, this Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 is also made with plastic material and therefore very lighter if compared to Apple’s iPad.

Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 comes with features like a 7 inch screen, with resolution of 1,024 x 600 pixel; a size said to be a lot thicker than Streak from Dell. Other features installed within the gadget are 3G network, 3.2 Mp camera, and e-book-ing application. Other specifications such as the processors used by the Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 has not yet discovered so far. Seeing that little known about this product in Western media, it can be concluded that the product is not sold outside China.

However, much details of this gadget are unknown since not many sources discuss about this gadget. Yet, there is no press release from Samsung which confirms the releasing of the product. Supposed the product is really produced, not just a prototype, Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 can be one of the gadgets launched by other companies to throw iPad from its reign.

DFCA, New Communicating Technology by Nokia Siemens Networks

Two great mobile phone companies which are merged into one network is surely a making great profit. Perhaps this is what the member of boards in Nokia and Siemens companies thought in 2006 before merging their two great companies. As a joint venture between the COM division of Siemens and Network Business Group of Nokia, this network can be said as one of the largest mobile provider nowadays.

The first announcement of the foundation of Nokia Siemens Network was delivered in June 19, 2006. The joint venture was then officially announced to operate in February 2007 during the event 3GSM World Congress held in Barcelona, Spain. The headquarters of Nokia Siemens Network is in Finland’s city Espo, in Greater Helsinki with operating branches in around 150 countries.

As for these days, Nokia Siemens Networks announces their plan to install their mobile phone system with a new technology called Dynamic Frequency Channel Allocation of DFCA. When finished, the technology is said will be able to double the capacity of communication network the company has for now. The DFCA works by reducing bands needed for networks like WCDMA, EDGE, and LTE and relaying them for attaining the data needed for Nokia Siemens Networks phones.

Review on the Well-Received Motorola MB520 Smartphone

The MB520, or generally known as Motorola Kobe is not a recent product released by American based phone manufacturer, Motorola. Yet, as a gadget, Motorola Kobe has received several recognitions from a number of gadget review websites. UPnP Forum, for example, certified the smartphone in June 16, 2010. Another website, WiFi Alliance gave its positive review on July 8, 2010 for a single band phone of 802.11b/g/n (2.4 GHz).

Motorola MB520 comes with an LCD display of 3.5 inch with the resolution of 480 x 854. The MB520 uses the processor of 800 MHz TI OMAP with 3440 or 3630. It is also equipped with 512 Mb of memory, PowerVR SGX 530 GPU, 3 Mp camera, 2 GB of internal storage capacity. As an extra, Motorola also gives a 2 Gb micro SD card inside the package.

The Motorola Kobe is a smartphone using the platform Android 2.1. Motorola MB520 is supported with other applications like Vlingo, Swype, and DNLA. The Motoblur technology from Motorola is also installed in the smartphone. This program replacement for Droid 2 enables the smartphone to combine several social network services like MySpace, Twitter, and Facebook to put together that Motorola Kobe user can access the websites at the same time.

LG C900 Smartphone Comes with Simplified Keyboard

Windows Phone 7 is by now the latest operating system issued by Microsoft for smartphones. Several smartphone manufacturers like HTC and Samsung have been using this platform for products like HTC TouchPro 2 or Samsung Cetus. Both are smartphones using full touch screen as the substitute to keypads. Touch screen feature presented by these two products, however, are not what every gadget users want. There are customers out there who crave for QWERTY keyboards as the substitution for keypads, especially the simplified ones.

For this reason, LG released the Samsung LG C900. With Windows Phone 7 platform, this smartphone comes out with simplified QWERTY keyboard. If standard QWERTY keyboard has at least five rows of buttons, LG C900 has only four rows. The numerical buttons which usually placed at the first row are merged together with second row buttons of standard keyboard. This phone is also equipped with a pair of buttons at the left side for layout use.

This LG C900 is made especially to be sold in pair with the AT&T communication provider. If examined closely, reviewers can see the AT&T logo as one of the menu provided by this phone. With Windows Phone and AT&T service provider, LG C900 will be entitled as one of the wanted communication sets of the year.
