As a part of its promise to released Sandy Bridge-powered notebooks, Lenovo recently issued to notebooks, Lenovo ThinkPad T420s and W520. Both notebooks have some similarities in common. They are built in thin-and-light designed and powered by Sandy Bridge processor. Therefore, both notebooks can be expected to provide superior performance. Both the T and W series include Optimus graphics from NVIDIA. So, what make them different?
Let’s begin with Lenovo ThinkPad T420s. The 14-inch notebook has a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels. It is powered by Intel Core i5-2520M CPU. Featured with a lightweight architecture, the notebook is less than four pounds. However, you will not find a Core i7 or discrete graphics in the notebook. There is a 2GB of internal memory in addition to 250 GB of hard disk drive. The notebook runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. The notebook starts at $1,199.
On the other hand, Lenovo ThinkPad W520 notebook comes with a larger dimension. It has a 15.6-inch screen that offers a resolution of 1366 x 768. The notebook has an internal memory with a greater capacity, i.e. 4GB of DDR3 RAM. The laptop is also superior in terms of hard disk drive, since it has a 320GB of HDD. More spectacularly, the notebook is equipped with NVIDIA Quadro graphics that ensures greater performance and vivid images. You can get the notebook with a price of $1,449.
