PlayStation Move, Censor-Based Game Controller from Sony

With blooming games manufacturers creating various gaming accessories, playing games is gradually more comfortable and spoiling. The new PlayStation Move, for example, is giving more comfortable control towards playing games by the installation of censors within the gadget. The censor in the PlayDtation Move is intended to detect the movements made by the gamers and relay the movement into the gameplay.

The primary remote of the PlayStation Move has the same size with the remote from Nintendo Wii. The PlayStation Move censors works differently from the Nintendo Wii. If the Nintendo Wii detects the movement with accelerometers, the PlayStation Move tracks the precise 3 Dimensional space and predicts the user’s movement from his/her previous movement.

The PlayStation Move works best with camera, especially if a user plays with the AR. For this need, Sony PlayStation has released the PlayStation Eye previously. The system works in PlayStation Move basically partially works together with the PlayStation Eye. The PlayStation Move uses some part of the movements detected by the PlayStation Eye from the ball-like instrument attached at the end part of the PlayStation Move. Each controller of the PlayStation Move is equipped with four buttons. The wireless controllers will be helpful for gamers who need simplicity.

Blue Playstation 3 and Gran Turismo 5, a Long Awaited Gaming Combination

On November 3, 2010, the Sony Playstation 3 will release its Limited Edition PS3. Planned to be released in Europe and Japan, this Limited Edition version of Playstation 3 will come in blue radiant color. Not any blue color, this latest edition will be presented in titanium blue color. Bundling with the latest series of the infamous racing game, Gran Turismo 5, the slim PS3 with the capacity up to 160 Gb is hoped to be a hit in the Japanese market.

Fans of Playstation 3 as well as Gran Turismo can not wait any longer of the product launching. Die-hard fans of the Playstation 3 are eager to try the interesting-colored Playstation 3 which also comes with the controller with the same color.

As for the gaming freaks, especially for racing games, the Gran Trismo 5 is not really a new product. It is a rather old game which launching is delayed. So far, racing gamers can only find the Gran Turismo 5 Prologue on their Playstation 3. The fully released version will finally be released this early November 2010. Whatever their necessity is, whether trying the newly colored Playstation 3 or playing the full version of Gran Turismo 5, this bundling pair is one of the most awaited game bundles of this year.

FragFX Shark from Splitfish, Friendly Controller to Environment

Splitfish Gameware is about to launch a new game controller for PC, Mac, and PS3. The new controller named FragFX Shark resembles its predecessor FragFX PS3 but equipped with some new features. The FragFX Shark is promised to be more durable with the technology of power preserving. Powered with only one AA battery, the controller is announced to have over 50 hours time allocation for gaming, and more than 500 hours while dormant.

The FragFX Shark is scheduled to be public for the very first time at the Gamescom 2010 event which will be held on August 18-22, 2010 in Cologne, Germany. Besides the controller, Splitfish will also display other new devices namely the FragFX Piranha and FragFX Barracuda. Both are new innovations dedicated for PS3 gamers who crave for better gaming gadgets. Other device will be exhibited on the event is FragFX Evolution Wireless. This is a controller which can be programmed. This controller is best for playing sport games such as the newly released Madden NFL 11 from EA.

Splitfish Gameware is a manufacturer for gaming devices based in Zurich, Switzerland. Its gaming products have spread around Europe, Canada, and the United States. On the Gamescom event, the Splitfish will arrange a discussion with the media about its displayed devices. According to the company’s press release, the Splitfish’s stand at Gamescom is planned to be built at Business Area: Hall 4.2, Gang F/Nr.043.

If Playing Usual Chess Not Nerdy Enough, Get Electric Chess!

Brent Blake, a designer slash architect slash artist gives a new touch on how to play chess brightly. He created a chess set which is connected to the electricity. This design of chess set is using simple electronic devices such as bulbs, sockets, plugs, as well as ceramics elements.

Instead of using the standard images of pawns, knights, rooks, bishops, etcetera, to make the chess set literally bright, Blake substituted the chess pieces with lightbulbs. Blake alters the color of the bulbs to differentiate between one chess piece to another. The wattage allocations for the each chess piece are quite low, 7 watt for the pawn pieces and 11 watt for the others.

The chess board is designed with 96 sockets to put the bulb pieces. 64 sockets are connected to electricity to light the bulbs, meanwhile the other 32 sockets are unplugged. The 32 sockets are divided equally for each board side, 16 for each to place the captured pieces. This electric chess is scheduled to be exhibited on August 21, 2010 at the Moses Lake Museum and Art Center in Moses Lake, Washington during the art event of Big Deal. Being a good chess player himself, Blake will possibly present at the event to challenge people with his customized chess.

Sony Ericsson Initiates Android 3.0 Game Phone

Not bothering to use the Android 2.0 operating system for its products, Sony Ericsson now is introducing Android 3.0 for its new smartphone which is designed to resemble the PSP Go. Intended for game lovers, this new concept of smartphone, is thought to have the features of Samsung Captivate and the PSP Go. Leaving the QWERTY designed-keyboard, Sony Ericsson chooses to equip the gadget with the game controllers such as standard keys for PSP as well as analog controllers.

The Android 3.0 designed-phone is also illustrated to have wide WVGA screen, about 3.7 to 4.1 inches with 5 MP camera. Other feature which will present is probably the Snapdragon CPU with the capacity of 1GHz. These details of design can be improved, but cannot be worse. Other detail explained of the design is the color of the gadget. It will carry the looks of Xperia as well as Playstation by putting it in black, silver/white, and silver highlights.

The actual weapon of this gadget is the software. This smartphone dedicated especially for gamers will be equipped with Android 3.0 from Google. The phone is hoped to play games such as LittleBigPlanet, God of War, or another high definition 3D games usually played in PSX or PSP. The release date of the phone has not yet announced officially by Sony Ericsson, but it will probably be introduced in October 2010.

The Gizmondo is Sold in Bay Ridge

When people find a weird and beautiful unicorn, they see them mostly on the Nellseven glens of the Seven Hills of Valpinore and not down there in Bay Ridge. Yet, Brklyn Surfer has just brought the new-in-box Gizmondo which includes the extra text of spam-gasmic and also a blurry-camera photo so blurry it can be mistaken for having modern art. On the other hand, if this is indeed a real Gizmondo, then it is definitely in unicorn territory.

So what is a Gizmondo? The Gizmondo is indeed a handheld gaming console that was launched by Tiger Telematics in March 2005. Gizmondo has both the GPS and GPRS technology. The electronics design was made by Plextek Limited while the industrial design was undertaken by Rick Dickinson.

The Gizmondo was actually sold poorly. On February 2006, the company then discontinued the device and was also forced into bankruptcy. Yet, in 2008 Cark Freer said that he had dealt with the liquidators and then planned to re-launch Gizmondo as Gizmondo 2. It is expected that the new Gizmondo will be able to hit the marketplace and be sold worldwide. As a matter of fact, it is definitely a great device for any game lovers.

The Nintendo’s 3DS Will Announce Its Release Date on September 2

The Nintendo 3DS are becoming the E3 2010 star for some good reasons. It is indeed the long-awaited refresh which brings good quality of glasses-free 3D gaming to the platform of DS. It is actually quite amazing. In fact, Nintendo has revealed the next gaming console at the biggest gaming trade show, yet they did not announce its price and the release date.

Actually, the release date is not the one that most people are curious about. It is indeed how Nintendo is going to price its 3DS. When users spend only two minutes playing with this, they will now that it is not a cheap kit and it seems that there were lots of R7D spent to develop the software and hardware. It is expected that Nintendo will price its 3DS around $200. It does not mean that it will fail even if it costs $250 to $300 because it is still a Nintendo.

It looks like Nintendo is having a press conference in the late of September. The plan is to launch the 3DS in the holiday season, probably shortly after New Year. Yet, let us hope on the leaky Internet that will give some information or clues of its release date.

If you are addicted to playing games and you spend a lot of time playing and getting updated to the latest games or consoles, then you can now play it even more often with the new Nintendo 3DS which is enabling you to carry the console everywhere and play it whenever you want, especially when you are trapped in such a boring waiting time.

Recently the product has been shown in a press conference but it was simply showing that the product works, but you can still see the dimension and the features that you can enjoy. If you have seen the picture then the top 3D screen there has high resolution. The viewing angle is good and the screen is bright.

With this Nintendo 3DS you can experience playing various games in 3D version such as Nintendogs, Kid Icarus which will bring a lot of fun, Mario Kart as one of the bests, Star Fox, and more. However, there are some reviews about the product that say about the 3D part, which is rather difficult to see. It is hoped that this point will be improved before it is launched, of which time is still unknown. Whatever it is, Nintendo 3DS is something that you should try.
