Today, AMD announced a new video card ATI Radeon HD 5670. As in most cases, the emergence of new items was not a surprise to us. Even before the announcement of unofficial sources “sprayed” web rumors about the characteristics of the accelerator, which is worth noting, largely confirmed. In addition, there were even published a comparative test results against the Radeon HD 5670 Radeon HD 4670.

So, ATI Radeon HD 5670 is the world’s first DirectX 11-compatible graphics accelerator in the price category up to $ 100. Chip is made on the basis of the advanced 40-nm process technology, includes 627 million transistors, 400 stream processors, 20 texture units, 8 raster operation units (ROP), operates at a clock frequency of 775 MHz and has the computing power of 620 GFlops. There are two versions of the accelerator – with 512 MB and 1 GB of GDDR5-memory. The memory is clocked at 1000 MHz (effective frequency of 4 GHz), and its bandwidth is 64 Gbps.
