Sharp electronic just announced their newest revolution for TV world. It’s an analog/digital TV Tuner. Yeah right, it’s not a new product, but what makes this product very special is the size. Claimed to be the smallest in the world! Just look at the picture and you know what I mean. With only 5mm thin and 4.44cc size it would make LCD TV thinner. FYI, today’s LCD TV used multiple tuners so they can make multiple channels view.
VA1N2WF2121 (this is this product series) approximately 50% thinner and 70% smaller than usually used tuners. What makes this product so compact is because it used the newest silicon tuner IC that can integrate all components into a single semiconductor. For the quality, Sharp promises that it will be a better one, because it has a built-in low-noise amp and digital signal processor so even at a poor-signal location it can improve the view.
The frequency spectrums of this device are UHF, VHF and CATV (with full band compatibility). And the power needed is 0.93w for digital and 0.99w for analog. With this combined analog/digital tuner, it will be meets the entire worldwide standard, that means no need changing the tuner in all over the world.
